Hi, I’m Ben, a full-stack developer with a passion for learning. Before transitioning into the tech industry, I spent 8 years as an English teacher, and although I still have a passion for teaching, tech has taken over my heart. My journey started back at the start of the pandemic. I started learning Python (purely because I wanted to take a MOOC to help me design one that I was building) and immediately fell in love with writing code. Luckily, I didn’t take too long to learn that you can also us semi-colons when writing code and expanded my horizons to JavaScript. It didn’t take long to realise that, even with the semi-colons that I was missing in Python, something was still missing. That’s when I discovered TypeScript, the language that I have used the most both personally and professionally. Nowadays, I like to write in TypeScript, Go and C#.

When I’m not working on code, you can find me drinking coffee, watching rugby, or enjoying time with my cats Ash and Freya.
